Graduation Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in graduation activities, students must meet the requirements for an Alberta High School Diploma by the end of June of their Grade 12 year. Students must have completed or been enrolled in and passed sufficient courses to meet all diploma requirements, including a minimum of 100 credits. Students must have completed Religion 35 to walk the stage at SACHS.

Students who wish to take independent study or off-campus courses as part of their qualifications must provide course registration documentation.

Graduation Tickets and Price

Below is the Ticketmaster link to purchase grad tickets.  The link will be live on May 2nd at 10:00 AM.  Grads DO NOT need a ticket.  Each graduate can purchase 8 tickets; tickets are $20 each.
 
Use your graduate's Albert Education number to book your tickets.  If your graduate doesn't know their number, they can come see us in the office.
 
 
The tickets for the dance will be posted on the student's Rycor account, also on May 2nd.  Grads can also bring in cash to purchase dance tickets.  Each graduate is able to bring one guest to the dance.  We do require the contact information of any guests' parents before they are approved to come.  Guest forms are available at the office and in the GRAD classroom. I have also attached the form to this email.  Dance tickets are $25 per ticket.
 
A few other important reminders:
 
PLEASE submit a baby photo as soon as possible if you have not already done so.
 
June 20th- 3:00-5:00—Mandatory rehearsal in the gym - grads will receive their gown, stole, and cap at the rehearsal (gowns and stoles will be returned immediately after the ceremony on the 26th)
June 25th- Grad Mass- St.Albert Parish 7:00- Grads are welcome to bring their gowns to the mass if they would like to take photos with family and friends after the grad mass.
June 26th- Ceremony at the Jubilee starts at 11:00
 
June 26th- Dance- Druze Hall- 7:30-11:00

Please know that the consumption of alcohol is NOT permitted in or around the Druze Hall. Parents are responsible for all items that students may have in their transportation to the Druze Hall.  Please have one or more parent(s) from the group transport at the Druze Hall pick up items students may have in their transportation. Please plan to meet them upon arrival at the dance. Students are not allowed to vape or use marijuana pens in or around the Druze Hall. These items will be confiscated and disposed of. This is regardless of whether the graduate is 18 or not. This is a school-sanctioned event, and ALL school rules apply. We will have zero tolerance for students who are unable to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Parents will be called to pick up those who do not comply with the above rules. 


Students are NOT allowed to drive themselves to the Druze Hall for the dance. They must be dropped off and picked up. 

Graduation 2025

The staff of École Secondaire St. Albert Catholic High School looks forward to celebrating the achievements of the graduating class of 2025 on Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26. 

The event will be held over two days, starting with the Graduation Mass at St.Albert Parish from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Commencement Ceremony on June 26, 2025, followed by the Prom celebration from 7:30 pm-11:00 pm

Friday, June 20st, Mandatory Grad Rehearsal 3:00 pm–5:00 pm- at SACHS

Grad caps, gowns, stoles, and tickets for the dance will be handed out on this day.

Wednesday, June 25th- St.Albert Parish 7:00 pm

We encourage all graduates to attend the mass, it’s a great opportunity to spend time together as a graduating class and with family.  

Thursday, June 26th

Ceremony at the Jubilee Auditorium

Doors into the auditorium will open at 10:30.  The ceremony will start at 11:00 am.  Tickets will be $20 per person. Graduates do not need to purchase a ticket.

Each graduate will be able to purchase 8 tickets for the ceremony. Tickets are assigned seating, the same as purchasing tickets for a concert.  

Ticket purchases will be available starting on May 2, 2025, through Ticketmaster.  

 

Before May 2nd, we will post an access code to allow families to start purchasing tickets on May 2nd.  The student's Albert Education number will be needed to purchase the tickets. Grads should know their number; if not, they can come and ask at the office.

On June 2nd, any extra tickets will be opened up if any other tickets are needed, and the process for getting extra tickets will be the same. Using the student's Albert Education number.

Grads will NOT need a ticket to get in. They have to show their cap and gown when coming in, and that will confirm they are a graduate.

At the door, no tickets will be available. Try to plan who you are bringing so that everyone can sit together because you will be selecting seats when you buy your tickets. 

Graduates must wear their cap, gown, and stole at the Jubilee. Gowns and stoles will be returned immediately after the ceremony; caps are the grads to keep.

Photo booths will be available before and after the ceremony.

 

Thursday, June 26th, 2025

Grad Dance -Druze Hall- St.Albert Trail (14304 134 Ave NW, Edmonton) 

7:30 pm-11:00 pm

Food and non-alcoholic drinks at the dance will be included in the ticket price.  Dance tickets will be added to the student's Rycor accounts on May 2nd.

Valedictorian Criteria

This student’s average will be calculated based on their mark in English 30-1 as well as four courses from the following list:

-       Math 30-1

-       Math 31

-       Biology 30

-       Chemistry 30

-       Physics 30

-       French Language Arts 30-1

-       Social Studies 30-1

One of these courses can be a GSACRD course that is not a SACHS course (e.g., St. Gabriel or GSACRD Summer School). In the event of a tie, the administration and counselors will choose the valedictorian based on the student’s contributions to the school. The cutoff for term two marks used in the calculation will be two weeks before the graduation date.

Graduation Portraits

Prestige Portraits will be doing graduation photo retakes March 12 - 18, 2015. 

Prestige Portraits will take graduation photos at SACHS the week of Nov 27 - December 6, 2024
